Welcome to our web site! I appreciate your interest in our church and invite you to come check us out in person. My family and I followed God’s leading to serve Franklin First Baptist Church as Pastor. It has been my privilege to watch the Lord work in the lives of His people as they strive to follow Him.

As a husband and father I’m deeply committed to strengthening families. For that matter, there is nothing I enjoy more than spending time together with my wife, Tammie and our two sons, Daniel and David. And that’s the type of church you will find here – a spiritual family. No we’re not perfect, but we are constantly discovering how to fellowship, worship, and witness to the life-changing message of Christ.

My ministry is to preach and teach God’s Word with clarity and relevance. In order to fulfill this calling, my preparation includes undergraduate work in communication and graduate studies in religion. The two-fold purpose of my ministry is to point non-Christians to a meaningful relationship with God through His Son and to challenge Christians to grow deep in their faith and service to God.

Ten Intriguing Questions about the Pastor

1. Where were you born? Frankfurt, Germany

2. What would you be doing if you were not in the ministry? Marine Biologist

3. What is your favorite thing to do with your free time? Free time?! Spend it with my family doing anything.

4. What is your favorite scripture passage and why? Isaiah 6, Revelation 4-5, and Matthew 5:6. Because God is clearly described as the awesome God that He is and if we desire we can know him personally.

5. If we asked your parents what they appreciate most about you, what would they say? Simply that I’m their son.

6. What was your lowest grade in college on a test and for a class? "F" on a German language test and "C" in Literature.

7. What foods do you love/hate most? I love my wife’s oatmeal and raisin cookies. I hate all things green.

8. What is your biggest pet peeve? Someone riding my bumper.

9. What is your greatest strength? Big picture perspective.
